Prominent local firm Skyline Group of Companies (Skyline) has released a series of videos in partnership with local non-profits, helping provide Guelph-Wellington youth with mental health support.
The five videos, available to view at ForeGoGolf.SkylineOnline.ca, launched in late September alongside a fundraising campaign that saw $137,000 raised to be distributed among the featured non-profit organizations: Shelldale Family Gateway, Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington, Integrated Youth Services Network, the Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.
“This was an incredible effort across all of Skyline, including our suppliers, Trustees, staff, investors, and social media audiences,” said R. Jason Ashdown, Co-Founder & Chief Sustainability Officer at Skyline.
“Our hope is to raise awareness and lower the stigma of young people facing mental health challenges, and to encourage people and businesses to not only donate their dollars but volunteer their time and resources to these worthy organizations.”
“The campaign gave us a wonderful platform to both ‘show and tell’ the IYSN story,” said Cyndy Moffat Forsyth, Director of the Integrated Youth Services Network, one of the organizations featured in the videos.
“We commend Skyline for their work to raise awareness for organizations like ours. The best part is that they want to be an influencer and promote community giving among all of their audiences, including their industry peers. They want to inspire others in their business to launch similar initiatives.”
