For the second year in a row, Skyline’s Investor Relations team got into the holiday spirit by participating in the morning snack program at Ottawa Crescent Public School in Guelph. The program is one of 9 Food and Friends programs at 9 different schools organized by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington and sponsored by Skyline. This year, $10,000 of funds raised from Skyline’s golf tournament went to Food and Friends, ensuring that kids get the nutrition they need to have a happy and productive school day. The Skyline team prepared cream cheese bagels, cheese, fresh apples and veggie bags, and delivered them to the school’s classrooms.
This volunteer initiative also fell on Giving Tuesday (Tuesday December 2nd 2014), a national initiative to give back after the commercialism of the Black Friday weekend.
