The Wellington Warrior Challenge is an annual Tough Mudder-style obstacle course that focuses not on speed & timing, but teamwork and camaraderie. The Challenge is organized by the Canadian Cancer Society, and has raised over $50,000 to date.
Skyline spent the morning setting up registration and food stations, as well as actual obstacles out on the 6-kilometre course. While some obstacles were man-made (tire flip, balance beams, climbing walls), others included three ponds and a mud pit, and kilometre after kilometre of tough terrain in the heavily forested area of the Cellars property.
After lunch, Skyline volunteers were honoured to do a full “test run” of the course, which was an amazing experience for the volunteer team.
