Skyline Group of Companies was recognized on the evening of December 5th for its redevelopment of downtown Guelph’s Gummer Building at 5 Douglas Street, now the company’s Head Office. It took home the Rental Development of the Year Award at the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario’s (FRPO) annual awards Gala this past Thursday.

Additionally, Skyline placed in the Top 3 in the categories of Outstanding Community Service and Resident Manager of the Year!

Skyline enjoyed speeches from former FRPO President Vince Brescia, as well as former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, who was the evening’s guest speaker.

Since its first award submission four years ago, Skyline has received 16 nominations and has won nine awards in six categories. It won the Outstanding Community Service award for two consecutive years (2009 & 2010), and has since been nominated for three consecutive years!

The FRPO M.A.C. Awards are considered “the Oscars of the rental housing industry.” They are presented in recognition of the industry’s top performers in over 15 categories, ranging from Customer Service to Suite Renovation of the Year. This year’s M.A.C. Awards Gala had over 830 guests from across the industry in attendance.
