Marian Serna

Marian is responsible for operationalizing programs, risk management, data protection, security, and responding to regulatory changes. She works closely with Skyline’s business units to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards, and to ensure seamless integration of data protection and security principles.

Joining Skyline in 2023 as Director of Privacy and Data Security, Marian previously worked as a Senior Associate, Data Protection for MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. There, she acquired extensive experience in operationalizing global data protection programs.

Marian is dedicated to fostering a culture of trust and innovation at Skyline. With a customer-centric mindset and a passion for efficiency, she strives to leverage her background in law and technology to shape strategies that safeguard information and data.

Marian is a dual-qualified lawyer (Ontario and Colombia) and a Certified Data Protection Officer (issued by the European Centre on Privacy & Cybersecurity at Maastricht University in the Netherlands). She received a General Professional Master of Law (GPLLM) designation from the University of Toronto and is a candidate to the Advanced Master in Data Protection, Cybersecurity, and Data Management at Maastricht University. She has also received Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe/Canada) and Certified Information Privacy Manager designations from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
